A small table, thoughtfully hosted
Private chefs
An on-site chef can shape a menu around a home or intimate venue. Clarify how much of the service is included alongside cooking.
Fit the service to the venue
Describe your kitchen honestly: worktops, oven, hob, fridge space and dishes. Share the meal timing and whether guests will watch or join preparation.
Questions for your first conversation
Is shopping included? Will there be a server? Who supplies tableware and washes up? Can the proposed menu work in this kitchen?
Compare the complete quote
Ask for separate details for: Menu planning, ingredients, chef time, assistant or server, travel and cleanup.
Make a written service plan
Include the location, guest count, arrival time, serving window and person coordinating on the day. Record who supplies equipment, who receives deliveries and who clears the space. Ask how changes to numbers or timing affect the quote.
